Eight Weeks To Go!!!

July 24th, 2008

Today is Thursday, July 24 – Week 32.   In the last couple of weeks Cris’ belly has been getting bigger and she’s looking great.  Everything has been going well with one exception.  We found out that Cris had Gestational Diabetes.  Basically, her body is processing sugars slower than normal due to the extra high level of hormones flowing through her body.  She is on a special diet now and that has brought her sugar levels back to normal.

After the baby is born, the gestational diabetes goes away immediately.  And fortunately, it shouldn’t affect the baby now that her sugar levels are back to normal.

I’ve included some recent pictures.  The first two are from Mike & Elizabeth Dwyer’s wedding.  The rest are from Crisi’s Baby Shower.  We hope you are all doing well!

We can’t wait! I’m sure the little guy is getting pretty smushed in there – probably why he’s always kicking the heck out of Crisi. I’m sure he’s as excited about getting out as we are!

    Hey Josh,

I can’t believe you are already going to parties (Shower) and you haven’t even made the grand appearance yet. Your Mom and Dad look great!

    Love, Gramps

Judging by the amount of dancing he’s doing in Crisi’s belly, he’s a party animal and wants to be part of the Midnight Club!

Hey Crisi, you look great in that black dress! I am definitely going to be calling you for fashion tips when it’s my turn 🙂 I’m sad I missed a baby shower though 🙁 The only thing that makes me grin is that I notice you have picked your baby name, and what a great name- JOSH! I guess I can have my favorite baby name back!!

    love ya!
